West Alabama WOW Career Expo 2015

Tuscaloosa, AL (October 2015) For two days, approximately 4,000 students toured industry related exhibits setup on the Shelton State Community College campus by numerous local employers, including J.T. Harrison Construction Co. Inc, as an effort to spark interest, and create career awareness within the developing workforce. J.T. Harrison Construction Co., Inc. partnered with McAbee Construction in leading the construction sector of the expo. Together, Harrison and McAbee recruited industry partners to plan, organize, and execute various activities at the event. Some of the activities included, rebar tying, masonry wall puzzle, plug-to-receptacle match-up, pipe size guessing, level and plumb display and a drywall competition. One of the larger exhibits within the construction sector was J.T. Harrison Construction Co., Inc.’s tiny house construction.
